If you have not been to the Bar ZX Ranch, then you are missing out.

The Bar ZX Ranch is located in Colorado in between Glenwood Springs and Paonia, and up against the west side of the Ragged Mountain range. [ directions ]

The ranch offers hunting, fishing and snowmobiling services depending on the season. 

Hunting includes elk, deer, and bear, with turkey coming in Spring 2007, on the ranch and the surrounding areas, which includes over 8,000 acreas of private land and 16,000 acres of National Forest property (Gunnison National Forest). Dates are different for each type of hunting. [ learn more ]

Fishing includes fly fishing in over 26 lakes on the ranch for some of the best looking trout you will ever see.  There are 18 different species of trout which can be caught at the ranch.  Fishing is fly fishing only and is catch-and-release with barbless hooks.  The season starts June 1st and goes through the end of September. Snowmobiling is a fun past time for people in the mountains.  The ranch offers snowmobiling trips around the ranch and surrounding areas (over 24,000 acres), as well as trips cross county. [ learn more ]
